What skills are required of an orchestra musician? How do contract negotiations work? What are the responsibilities of an orchestra library? As an aspiring musician, how can one connect with peers to discuss issues related to a career as an orchestra musician? Polyphonic.org is a new resource that provides answers to these questions and the means for networking with a larger community of professional musicians. Naxos Music Library Jazz is here!

We are thrilled to introduce Naxos Music Library Jazz to the Case/CIM library community. Naxos Music Library Jazz, a digital streaming service, comprises Naxos Jazz and the 22 labels of Fantasy Jazz. The reknown Fantasy Jazz label, founded in 1949, has an extensive musician’s roster which includes Art Tatum, Andre Previn, George Shearing, Stan Getz and many other luminaries in the jazz world.

This service is accessible to Case/CIM students and faculty members from any campus networked computer. Remote access is possible using VPN authentication.
