This week’s tour

The highlight of this week’s tour was the emergence of the ceiling on the main level of the library.  We also enjoyed walking through the Mixon Performance Hall. Next week, Darren from Audio Visual Services will begin setting up the library media center.

You’ll find three sets of photos on our Flickr pages. One dedicated to general photos of the Mixon Performance Hall, the exterior of the facility and other non-library related pictures. Library pictures are divided into two sets; the library media center and the main level.

Lights, dry wall, and furniture

Our latest tour of the Robinson Music Library features finished dry wall on the main level, the relocated book drop, beautiful custom LP shelving and lighting and ceiling tiles. The library media center is quickly taking shape. The lighting and ceiling tiles add a finished look. We are delighted with the new shelving for our LP record collection. The furniture for the service desk and group listening rooms is in place.

We anticipate this room being completed in the next few weeks, with the exception of some loose furniture which will be delivered in August.

It looks like they are finishing up the dry wall installation on the main level. And ceiling tiles are present. We might find them installed in the weeks ahead.
