Welcome to the Robinson Music Library
On Monday, we officially opened our doors to the public. Come and visit. On the library’s main level, you will find our reference collection, circulating scores and books and periodical collection. The Library Media Center is located on the lower level. At this time, it accessible from a temporary entrance down the hall from the CIM mail room.
This week the the library is open Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. We will be closed for the Labor Day weekend. Our normal resume on Tuesday, September 4th.
You will find the library collection available for you to explore. The physical layout is greatly improved. And public computers are located throughout the library for quick access to our library catalog and other electronic resources.
Our Flickr photos feature the current look of the library. In the coming month, final touches will be completed. These include:
- New study tables (some with network ports)
- New periodical shelving that will hold current and past issues for each title
- Casual seating area near the library entrance
- The stairwell will be open for access to the Media Center through the library
- Retractable shades will lessen the extreme glare that we experience in the morning
- End panels on our library shelving will complete the look
