What to read
The Robinson Music Library subscribes to a wide variety of music-related journals and magazines. Often, these publications provide articles specifically aimed at the college student. These articles discuss auditions preparation, the job market, performance issues among other topics.
The following articles are just a few examples of what you will find in our journal reading area. Come explore!

Discusses the new trend of chamber music performer participating in residencies at colleges & universities that offer such positions as tenure track positions.
“Flying Cheap-Singer Cheap” by Cindy Sadler. Classical Singer (November 2007)
Tips for finding inexpensive air fare. Specifically aimed at singers, but applicable to all.

New DVDs at the Robinson Music Library
Recent new additions to our DVD collection include several opera recordings published by Opus Arte, a company distinguished for high quality recordings of operas. For a complete description of the cast and performance, select the link to the call number below.
Also of note is DVDc 226, the Cleveland Orchestra’s recording of Bruckner’s Symphony no. 5 which was recorded this past summer at the Stiftsbasilika St. Floria.

Fall break hours
The Robinson Music Library will be closed for Fall Break on Saturday and Sunday, October 20-21st. The library will be open on Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 22-23) from 9 am to 5 pm.
Normal academic hours will resume on Wednesday, Oct. 24th.
