“The Quest for Management”
The October 2007 issue of CMA Matters, the newsletter of Chamber Music America, features an article by Robert Besen on artist management. Besen describes how he responds to inquiries from artists regarding management, the nature of the relationship between the artist/ensemble and manager, and describes in detail what a contract encompasses. A great read for any artist or ensemble interested in being represented.
You’ll find it in the Reading Area of the Robinson Music Library under Chamber Music. It will eventually be archived online.
